Southbound Soul or bands with 4 people will require a 10×10 space. For smaller bands, we are able to squeeze into tighter areas. For larger bands, setup area will be discussed during consultation.

How long are your sets/breaks? 2016-11-01T16:15:45+00:00

Sets range from 45-50 minutes followed by a ~20 minute break. Set and break times vary depending on the schedule of the evening.

Unless otherwise stated, band attire is dark suit for men and dress for women.

The only thing we’ll need from you is access to an electrical outlet wherever you have us set up. Other than that, we’re completely self sufficient.

All necessary sound and electrical equipment is provided by us. For bands with a vocalist, we provide our own PA system.

Once you’ve received your quote and are ready to book, you’ll receive a contract for you to review. Once signed, you can either email the copy back or send a physical copy in the mail to the address provided.

If the event is more than 30 days away, a 20% deposit is also required. The deposit can be paid online via an e-transfer, with a cheque, or cash.

Is there an additional fee to use your equipment? 2016-11-01T16:14:19+00:00

Bands that include a vocalist will be providing their own PA and microphone which  you are free to use. They will also provide music over the PA during their breaks.

Bands that don’t include a vocalist will charge an additional fee to provide a PA and mic for your use.

Use of the PA before or after the band’s scheduled performance will also incur an additional fee.

Our setup takes between 10-20 minutes. For smaller events, this means we can arrive 30-40 minutes before the start of the event. For weddings and corporate functions where an early setup is required, we will discuss that with you and your event planner during our consultation.

Yes, we’re happy to take your song requests up to 3 weeks before your event. Our full repertoire is available here on our website.

What is included in your price? 2016-11-01T16:13:53+00:00

The fee you are quoted includes the band’s performance, setup and tear down, equipment, and travel expenses. Also included is consultation with me to ensure your event goes exactly as planned.

Southbound Soul includes a complimentary DJ service during band breaks, as well as use of our microphone by your MC.

There won’t be any hidden fees on top of that.
